James Young joined the Temple Knight team this month as National Sales Manager. With over 15 years’ industry experience, James has helped 100’s of businesses make their printer solutions more productive and cost effective.
We sat down with James to ask him a few questions about his new job and joining the team here at Temple Knight.
What does your role as National Sales Manager involve?
My role is to fully understand our customers’ printing requirements and provide a bespoke managed print solution for their business.
Having this knowledge also helps us to manage their total print infrastructure, giving our customers piece of mind and a service they can trust.
With over 15 years’ experience in the industry, what is your favourite part of your job?
I take great pleasure supporting customers to find the most cost-effective method of printing. It’s something that’s essential in business, especially as I’ve seen customers paying too much on unclear or unfair contracts too many times!
Also, having worked in the industry for over 15 years I’ve been fortunate enough to work with a variety of manufacturers, such as Canon, Ricoh, Toshiba and HP and gained a wealth of knowledge to be able to offer the best support to my customers.
You ride a motorbike into the office, when did your passion for motorbikes start?
I purchased my first motorcycle in 2012 and my passion grew after falling in love with the adrenaline and freedom that riding motorcycles brings. I’m now on my third set of wheels. Although no matter how many layers I wear in the winter months, I always arrive with very cold fingers!
How do you spend your free time away from the office?
Time away from Temple Knight is spent with family and friends. With young children we especially enjoy walking the woodlands around Kent or visiting family in Dorset, and spending days on the beach.
